I will admit, when I pull the clips into Premier they look okay, if still a bit bright and washed out but better than any of the things I've tried in Resolve. I've watched a random video on youtube that claims Premier can handle to conversion from HDR to SDR automatically. Use Adobe Premier to convert the clips to SDR. The closest I got to good results was with Input: Rec2020/Rec2010 HLG, Output: Rec709/2.4 with Lum and Sat Mapping turned on. Had a hard time finding settings within the CST that looked good. Turn RCM off, use a Rec709 2.4 timeline and use a CST node to convert the footage. This gave me bad results, clips were overexposed and washed out with settings Input: Rec2100 HLG (the default it chose for the clips) Timeline Space: Rec2100 HLG, Output Rec709 2.4, Lum and Sat Mapping. Use DaVinci RCM to handle the color management. Ideas I've had and issues I've had so far.
